About Me
- Name: Project COLORS International
- Location: Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia, Canada
Project COLORS International was founded by Sunyata Choyce of Nova Scotia, Canada and Anke Bushing of Germany in 2004. They were international volunteers who were working with AIDS Orphans in South Africa. Through their own initiative, a project plan was formed to help the children of the orphanage. Through an amazing show of international support, they created Project COLORS International. This gave them the resources they needed to assist the children through the collection of care packages, scholastic and basic medical materials. After a successful aid project in South Africa, COLORS has expanded its aid projects to include a Nova Scotia based international distribution program and a new aid project in Dominican Republic!

To whom it may concern,
I stumbled upon this website while looking for volunteer opportunities in the Dominican Republic. I am looking to move to the Dominican in early December and I am interested in Project COLORS International. I would love to help in anyway I can. I am looking at having about $3000 saved when I arrive which I would be prepared to live off of (I can live very cheap, ie in a tent, no electricity etc.) while volunteering with Project COLORS, and in that time I will try to find a local source of income as I am planning my move to be long term, and I would be interested in a long term commitment with an organization like this. I have my PSW certification and experience working with mentally challenged individuals on both a volunteer and (paid) Residential Instructor level. If I could be of any service please feel free to contact me.
